This is the first Legalytics Circuit Scoop. It contains data for each circuit court decision from December 1 through December 16, 2024. There are a total of 758 decisions.
The Area variable is based on PACER codes although it is based on the text of the opinions rather than on the codes in the party filings and so there may be multiple in some cases and none in others. The Circuit Split variable also is based on the text of each opinion.
Below is a breakdown of the number of decisions per circuit.
Along with the number of opinions are the length of the opinions.
